Frequently asked questions.
Do I have to be flexible or in good shape to do Pilates?
Pilates is for everyone! Because there are so many different exercises in Pilates, we can tailor your session to yoUr fitness level.
Can I still take part if I have an injury?
Yes. We can accommodate for all types of injuries. Make sure to give us notice ahead of time so we can safely plan yoUr exercises.
When should I arrive?
Arriving 5-10 minutes before your scheduled session is ideal. This will give you enough time to get ready without rushing.
What should I wear?
Wear workout clothes that you are comfortable in (grip socks are great, if you have them).
Is Pilates the same as Yoga?
Pilates and Yoga share many of the same qualities – they both focus on breath, alignment, balance, strength, and flexibility. One element that sets Pilates apart is that in addition to mat work, it also incorporates specialized equipment. This makes Pilates better suited to increase your strength, especially in targeted areas.
How often should I practice Pilates?
The best schedule is one that you can follow and fit into yoUr routine. Joseph Pilates suggested that 4x a week is the optimal schedule. That being said, 2-3 times a week is also extremely effective, and even if you only practice once a week you will still see and feel changes to yoUr body.
How many people are in each class?
There is a maximum of 4 people per group class.
COVID-19 Safety
We adhere to all CDC, Ohio State, and Toledo safety guidelines. Equipment is properly cleaned in between each session along with a bi-weekly deep cleaning of the studio.
What is your cancelation policy?
We get it, life happens. Should you need to cancel, please do so within 12 hours of any group class, 4 hours for any semi-private or private session or you will forfeit your session.
